Acceptance Speech by Dr Eleftherios Rinos, Managing Director of RadioPRO Ltd

Dear friends, colleagues, and everyone here today,

Let me begin by saying how honoured I am to stand before you as the new Managing Director of RadioPRO Ltd. Your trust means a great deal to me, particularly as the only returning member of the previous Board. I am looking forward to working with the new Board members, and I believe that together we can take RadioPRO a long way.

I want to say something about Mrs Yoshi Moon. Yoshi, your leadership has been an example to all of us. You guided RadioPRO through a period of real innovation and growth, and the mark you have left on this organisation will outlast your tenure. As you take up the role of CEO of RadioPro LLC in the United States, you go with our good wishes, and we will be watching what you do next with great interest. Thank you for everything.

I take on this role with no illusions about the difficulties ahead. But I am confident – because of the people in this room, and because of the direction we have set. We have built a solid foundation on protecting the rights of creators: artists, composers, producers, everyone whose work makes the music. In a digital world that will not stop changing, that job matters more each year, and we have to keep adapting to do it properly.

The future of rights management is both promising and complicated. Yoshi spoke about the part technology now plays in making royalty distribution transparent, fair and accurate. Blockchain, artificial intelligence and digital tracking will help us make sure creators are paid properly wherever their work turns up. That is not an ambition. It is a requirement.

We also have to hold to the principles of transparency and fairness that Yoshi set out. Our members deserve to see clearly how their royalties are managed, and to feel in control of their own intellectual property. Under my leadership we will build on that work, with systems that allow real-time tracking and reporting across every platform: radio, streaming, live performance and digital media.

I am looking forward to working with our new Board of Directors. They bring new ideas and real energy, and they share the commitment to serving the creative community that has always defined this organisation. Together we will honour what RadioPRO has built while taking it forward – protecting intellectual property rights and making sure creators get the recognition and the payment they have earned.

Let me close by thanking you again for the trust you have placed in me. I am ready to get to work, alongside all of you.
