Important Update: Protecting Our Community with Member Verification

Following our Annual General Meeting on 28 December 2025, RadioPRO is introducing an upgraded verification step for all members.
Why we are doing this
We want to keep our community safe. The Board has made this a priority in order to protect members from fraud and identity theft. Making sure every member’s details are genuine and up to date is how we protect the value of the rights we manage on your behalf.
What you need to do
Please re-verify your personal and legal details within the next 90 days.
How to verify
We have sent you a personal email with step-by-step instructions. Please check your inbox, and have a quick look in your spam folder if it is not there.
Your privacy
We take data security seriously. RadioPRO Ltd is committed to protecting your information under United Kingdom General Data Protection Regulation standards.

Why verification matters in collective rights management
Dear Members,
Digital content creation has expanded enormously, and managing intellectual property rights has grown more complicated along with it. RadioPRO has just announced mandatory member verification. An extra administrative step is nobody’s idea of good news, but it is worth explaining what it is for.
So why does identity verification matter so much in collective rights management? The short answer is that knowing who is who protects the value of your work. Here is the longer one.
It keeps money away from people who did not earn it. The music and broadcast industries are not immune to fraud. Bad actors claiming rights to works they did not create divert money away from the artists who did. Verification protocols like the ones we are rolling out mean royalties reach verified, legal owners – and the revenue pool stays with genuine members.
It stops payments getting lost. CMOs handle enormous volumes of data. When member records are outdated or duplicated, royalties end up in the “black box” of unclaimed funds that never reach anyone. Verifying your identity keeps your record clean and current, so that when your track is played the system knows exactly who you are and where the payment should go.
It strengthens our hand in negotiations. A collective is only as strong as its membership. When a CMO sits down with broadcasters, streaming platforms or venue operators, being able to present a fully verified list of rights holders carries real weight. It demonstrates that the organisation manages a legitimate, active repertoire, and that tends to produce better licensing terms and firmer enforcement.
It is what newer systems require. As AI and blockchain become standard tools in rights management, they depend on precise data to work at all. A verified digital identity is what makes automated and micro-payment distribution possible.
Verification is not bureaucratic housekeeping. It is a safeguard around your income. In an industry conducted largely at a distance, proving you are who you say you are is the most effective way to claim what belongs to you.
So when the email arrives, please act on it. Verifying your identity takes about five minutes and it protects your royalties for years.
Thank you for your cooperation, and for your continued support of transparency, automation and fair royalty management.
