Low cost Music Licensing by RadioPro (Newsletter 02)

WHAT IS RADIOPRO
RadioPro operates as a Collective Management Organisation, managing copyright and rights related to copyright on behalf of rightholders in the music sector.
You will need a licence before you play our copyrighted musical works in a public space. If you have a television or a radio, or you use streaming services, the chances are you are already listening to our music without realising it.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Paying another organisation does not exempt you from paying RadioPro.
- A public space is generally one that is neither private nor domestic – a restaurant, pub, club, gym or shop, for example.
- RadioPro’s operation is overseen by the Intellectual Property Office.
- Our tariffs carry a 50% surcharge if you use our repertoire without a licence in place beforehand.
- We have cut our pricing by 90% in response to the rising cost of living, and we will keep our tariffs low for the next three years.
